Job DescriptionThis role involves overseeing the new business journey, ensuring that every step from research to report writing and form preparation to submitting final recommendations is handled with care and precision.
You will lead the Paraplanning team to handle these tasks in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner, providing high-quality service to clients and upholding our reputation.

As a Senior Financial Planning Manager, you will attend Management Meetings, provide support and training to other staff members, lead weekly team meetings, and authorise and manage cover for the team's annual/sick leave.
You will also write training guides and processes for any work taken on by the team, ensure all internal records are kept up to date, and be an active member of company focus groups, providing technical expertise as required.
Responsibilities- Attend Management Meetings, relaying key information/proposals to the Managers and, where necessary, Directors.
- Provide support and training to educate and guide other staff members.
- Lead weekly team meetings to deliver all relevant communications, confirm allocation of work, deal with any team queries or issues, etc.
- Support, motivate and guide the team to ensure all work and allocations are completed within agreed timescales to achieve new business targets.
- Authorise and manage cover for the team's annual/sick leave.
- Hold individual monthly one to one's with the team members.
- Write training guides and processes for any work taken on by the team.
- Ensure all internal records are kept up to date with current centralised investment proposition detail, current year allowances and current fund info.
- To be an active member of company focus groups, providing technical expertise as required.
You will also be responsible for writing financial planning and suitability reports and letters using the appropriate research tools, ensuring the best client outcomes.
Additionally, you will ensure that client files, suitability reports and letters are fully compliant and technically accurate, liaising regularly with internal and external compliance support.
Required Skills and QualificationsWe require a candidate with a CII Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (essential), preferably with a CII Level 6 Chartered Financial Planner qualification within a 36-month period.
Prior managerial experience is preferred, and excellent knowledge of Microsoft 365 programmes and Intelligent Office is desirable.
The successful candidate will have excellent organisation skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
Demonstrable skills in leading and motivating staff, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a good grasp of English language and Mathematical concepts are essential.
