About the Role

This Cleaning Assistant position is a vital part of our efforts to maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of school and council premises. As a key member of our facilities team, you will contribute to ensuring that designated areas are cleaned to a high standard.

We are looking for a reliable and diligent individual to join our cleaning team. In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out regular cleaning tasks as part of a team, ensuring that all areas are kept clean and hygienic.

Some key responsibilities include:

  • Cleaning and maintaining designated areas to a high standard
  • Collaborating with others to achieve cleaning goals
  • Providing good customer service to colleagues and visitors

Regarding compensation, the hourly rate for this position is £12.96 to £13.12 per hour, resulting in an annual salary of £5,804 to £6,091 when calculated on a term-time basis.

The working hours for this role are Monday to Friday, 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. As this position involves regulated work with children and/or protected adults, the successful candidate will need to become a member of the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update before any formal employment offer can be made.
