CNC Machinist Night Shift Job Description

Thompson Aero Seating Ltd is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team on a night shift basis. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for operating a range of CNC machines to produce high-quality components, ensuring that production deadlines are met efficiently, safely, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate CNC machines to produce high-quality components, ensuring that production deadlines are met.
  • Be accountable for world-class quality, taking ownership of problem-solving to maximize machine capabilities and eliminate waste during machining.
  • Drive costs out of parts through implementing efficiency and improvement measures.
  • Liaise with the Technical Lead to discuss improvements to add value to the machining process.
  • Work closely with engineering, supply chain, and quality colleagues to constantly raise the bar on process improvement, cost reduction, and standards.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 6 months CNC experience.
  • Understanding of CNC programming and strategies.
  • Experience of both 3 and 5 Axis Machines.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Problem-solving skills with a focus on process improvements.
