About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Fawkes & Reece (North) in Sheffield. As a key member of our quantity surveying team, you will play a vital role in shaping project commercial strategies, managing subcontract packages efficiently, and maximising project value.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Senior Quantity Surveyor in ensuring efficient cost management and project delivery.
  • Assist in preparing cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities for construction projects.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and value engineering to identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure cost control and financial efficiency.
  • Monitor project progress, prepare interim valuations, and manage change orders.
  • Prepare tender documents, contracts, and procurement schedules.
  • Contribute to the preparation of monthly cost reports and final accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and company policies.
