Are you a Criminal Justice Lawyer looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for a talented lawyer to join our prison law team and provide expert legal advice and representation to clients on all prison law matters.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage a diverse caseload of prison law matters, including parole hearings, adjudications, re-categorisation applications, licence recalls, and judicial reviews.
- Conduct research and analysis to inform legal decisions and develop effective strategies for clients.
- Represent clients in court and engage in negotiations with opposing counsel.
- Brief and instruct junior lawyers and support staff as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in prison law legislation and ensure compliance with relevant legal standards.
- A minimum of 2 years' PQE in Prison Law, including experience in managing a full caseload independently.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent advocacy, negotiation, and communication skills.
- A current driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
The salary for this role is £90,000 - £120,000 per annum, depending on experience.
