Data Assurance Analyst

Data Assurance Specialist Job Description
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Data Management or a related field and experience in data quality assurance and governance within a regulated environment. Responsibilities include ensuring data accuracy, security, and compliance, monitoring data processes, and supporting regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Quality Management
- Develop and implement processes to monitor, assess, and improve data quality
- Identify, document, and resolve data quality issues
- Compliance, Regulatory, and Partner Alignment
- Ensure data management practices align with external partners and comply with regulatory requirements
- Provide support during audits and regulatory reviews
- Data Risk Management
- Identify and assess data-related risks, including data breaches and compliance issues
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to implement risk mitigation strategies
- Development of data footprint maps and risk-based assessments
- Audit and Reporting
- Conduct regular internal data audits and contribute to external audits
- Prepare reports on data quality, compliance status, and risks for business stakeholders
- Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work with technology, legal, data, compliance, and business functional teams internally and externally
- Data Security and Privacy
- Ensure data privacy best practices and participate in initiatives to secure sensitive data
- Continuous Improvement
- Regularly review and optimize data management, processes, tools, and controls
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends, tools, and regulations
- Essential Skills and Knowledge
- Degree in Data Management or a related field
- Experience in data quality assurance and governance within a regulated environment
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, or Python
