About the Role:
Sphere Solutions is seeking an experienced Design Coordinator or Design Manager to join our team on a prestigious major project in the construction industry. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will play a crucial role in the overall delivery of the technical design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the work of architects, engineers, and other design professionals to ensure effective integration of design elements.
- Review and approve design drawings, specifications, and calculations to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Communicate with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure the design meets their expectations.
- Ensure the construction project complies with relevant health and safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards.
- Oversee the development of budgets and schedules for the design phase of the construction project.
- Identify and address design or technical issues that may arise during the construction phase and work with the project team to find solutions.
- Review and evaluate change requests to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of all design-related activities and provide regular status reports to project stakeholders.
- Support the construction team with technical guidance and design information during the construction phase.
- Participate in project closeout activities, including conducting final inspections, preparing final reports, and ensuring all design documentation is complete.
About You:
We are looking for a design coordinator or manager with a background in housing or main contracting, or someone from an architectural background looking to transition into main contracting. You will have excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
