About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical and Electronics Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing electrical and electronic systems for our renewable energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop new electrical and electronic systems, including power conversion equipment, wind turbine controllers, and fleet-wide monitoring systems.
  • Continuously improve the safety, reliability, and performance of our existing systems through re-engineering and optimization.
  • Specify engineered components, liaise with suppliers, and manage subcontractors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Manage engineering changes, version numbering, and document control to maintain a high level of quality and compliance.
  • Integrate wind turbines into hybrid wind/solar and storage systems, both on-grid and off-grid, to maximize energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory bodies, including DNOs, to maintain a high level of safety and quality.
  • Develop and manage electrical installation, user, and maintenance manuals to ensure clear and concise instructions for our customers.
  • Provide technical support, both remotely and on-site, to our customers, resellers, and installers to ensure seamless integration and operation of our systems.
  • Analyze real-world performance data to identify areas for improvement and optimize system performance.
  • Develop and implement remote monitoring systems to validate design, manage performance, and improve product quality.
About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Electrical and Electronics Engineer with a strong background in electrical design, testing, and fault-finding. You should have a clear understanding of energy management and control in domestic and small-scale renewables, including battery technologies and load management.

You will be a strong communicator with the ability to explain complex engineering concepts to a non-technical audience. You should have experience with MATLAB and Python or other similar programming languages, as well as practical experience with system assembly, testing, and assessment.
