Senior Quality Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Manager to join our team at Vector Recruitment Ltd in Cambridge.
The salary for this position is £37,000-£45,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus excellent benefits.
Job Description:
This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a seasoned Quality professional to lead our quality function and drive continuous improvement across our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading the quality control process to ensure products meet customer requirements
- Developing and implementing quality improvement initiatives to reduce costs and improve efficiency
- Maintaining accurate records of quality metrics and reporting them to senior management
- Providing training and guidance to production staff on quality procedures and best practices
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline
- 4+ years of recent experience in a quality engineering role within a manufacturing environment
- Proven experience working with quality tools such as PPAP, FMEA, CAPA, continual improvement, problem solving, 5S, Risk Assessment, etc.
- Experience operating within an ISO 9001 (or similar) certified QMS
- Experience conducting supplier audits and evaluations (both on site and remote)
- Excellent technical writing skills and well versed in drafting formal quality documentation (e.g. SOPs)
- A strategic thinker with a proven track record of driving business results through quality excellence
- The ability to promote a Quality culture throughout the business
- Experience with a document management system or eQMS a bonus
- Experience using ERP systems a bonus
- Knowledge of injection moulding and PCB assembly processes a bonus
