The ideal candidate will be instrumental in ensuring the reliability and performance of production machinery.

This role encompasses proactive maintenance, diagnostics, repair work, and oversight of service contracts, all aimed at minimizing operational interruptions and maximizing productivity.

The Industrial Maintenance Specialist will work in close collaboration with multiple departments to drive continuous improvement efforts, maintain safety protocols, manage maintenance records and inventory, and supervise external service providers to guarantee quality and adherence to standards.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Proactive Maintenance: Develop and implement maintenance schedules for all equipment to reduce downtime and prolong machinery lifespan.
  • Diagnostics and Repairs: Identify and rectify mechanical, electrical, and control system malfunctions on production equipment swiftly to ensure seamless operations.
  • Collaborate with Technical Engineering, Manufacturing, Facilities, and Maintenance teams to synchronize maintenance efforts and foster continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and contribute to health and safety initiatives.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of maintenance tasks, repairs, and equipment performance through the designated system.
  • Oversee spare parts inventory, managing costs effectively within budgetary constraints.
  • Emergency Response: Address urgent maintenance issues promptly, providing effective solutions.
  • Offer technical guidance and training to production personnel on proper equipment usage and maintenance.

To excel in this position, you will need:

  • Extensive experience in manufacturing settings, particularly with injection molding machinery.
  • Proficiency in manufacturing equipment related to plastic injection molding.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, with familiarity with the 18th edition BS 7671 Wiring Regulations.
  • Knowledge of BS EN ISO 14644 cleanroom standards, BS EN ISO 9001, and cGMP regulations.
