We are seeking a motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Child and Adolescent Support Specialist. In this rewarding role, you will work closely with young people aged 10-18, providing high-quality support and guidance to help them overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.
The successful candidate will be based at Aycliffe Centre in Durham, working within a secure children's home that provides specialist accommodation for vulnerable young people. As a keyworker, you will play a vital role in engaging, stimulating, and challenging the young people in your care, while maintaining a safe and stable environment.

The estimated salary for this role is £29,093 - £36,395 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, you can expect a range of benefits, including a contributory pension scheme, paid annual leave, and access to training and development opportunities.
About the Role
As a Child and Adolescent Support Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Acting as a keyworker for young people and providing guidance and support to help them achieve their goals
- Engaging, stimulating, and challenging the young people in your care, while maintaining a safe and stable environment
- Administering medication where necessary, and maintaining accurate records
- Writing reports and care planning documentation, using IT skills to record and track progress
- Providing educational and physical activities to stimulate learning and development
