About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at The Gainsborough Bath Spa. As a key member of our culinary brigade, you will be responsible for leading by example and running the kitchen in the chef's absence to ensure our guests have a consistent and exceptional dining experience.

As a Sous Chef, you will be expected to work closely with our Head Chef to develop and implement menus, manage kitchen operations, and maintain high standards of food quality and presentation. You will also be responsible for mentoring and training junior chefs to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead by example and maintain high standards of food quality and presentation
  • Run the kitchen in the chef's absence to ensure consistency and quality
  • Develop and implement menus in collaboration with the Head Chef
  • Mentor and train junior chefs to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed
  • Manage kitchen operations to ensure efficiency and productivity
