Oak Tree School is a specialist SEMH provision located in Truro, Cornwall. We provide full-time specialist co-education for up to 135 pupils and young people aged 5 to 18 who experience social, emotional, mental health, communication difficulties and associated challenging behaviours.

Job Title: Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our pupils with complex SEMH needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support pupils with their emotional and physical needs
  • Prepare learning materials and run classroom activities
  • Supervise pupils during outdoor experiences
  • Work collaboratively with the teaching team to develop and implement individualized learning plans
Requirements:
  • GCSE C or above (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Adaptability and willingness to work in a variety of classroom roles
  • Ability to work as part of a dedicated team
