Senior Engineering Position

**Job Summary**

Unknown Resourcing is seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineering Project Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our R&D Engineering department, you will be responsible for leading the development of future transportation technology projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the technical development of one or more development projects, including all technical aspects of the product, such as mechanical design, electrical design, system performance, and compliance with legal requirements.
  • Responsible for the audit and quality of the designer and support engineer's work.
  • Ensure the project is delivered from concept through to completion following all steps of the gateway process.
  • Carry out technical investigations of field problems and provide technical solutions.
  • Conduct project reviews to ensure continuous learning and improvement are built into next generation processes and products.
  • Co-ordinate with team members and utilize engineering skills and tools to meet product requirements, program delivery, and business objectives.
  • Monitor project budget and product cost.
  • Ensure adherence to all Health & Safety, Quality & Environmental policies affecting the relevant work areas.
  • Liaise with stakeholders throughout the projects.
  • Ensure compliance and lead safety analysis including FMEA and HAZOP.
  • Work on other projects and tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or a related field of study, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge and engineering skills, with proven ability to deliver against time, cost, and quality targets.
  • Attention to detail in technical content.
  • Ability to communicate project status, technical information, and risks to stakeholders.
  • Understanding of engineering product development for industrial/heavy duty applications.
  • Ability to work on complex projects and multi-task effectively.
  • Proficient in computer and software systems such as MS Project, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Exceptional ownership of technical content.
  • Ability to travel for 20% of the time, including work at different company locations.
