Job Title: 2nd Line IT Support Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated 2nd Line IT Support Technician to join our team at Recruitment Robin Ltd. As a 2nd Line IT Support Technician, you will be responsible for providing remote technical support to clients, monitoring IT systems, and troubleshooting and resolving technical issues quickly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting clients remotely or over the phone, identifying and resolving technical issues promptly and professionally.
  • Setting up, configuring, and installing a variety of hardware and software.
  • Ensuring security upgrades and antivirus installations are applied and kept up to date.
  • Fault finding, troubleshooting, and repairing hardware and software issues.
  • Logging faults, raising support tickets, and escalating issues to 3rd line support where necessary.
  • Providing ad-hoc administrative and on-site support to Senior Engineers.
Requirements:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer-focus.
  • Good working knowledge of Networking, Windows OS, Microsoft (Outlook, Exchange, Office 365), Active Directory, Servers, Cloud-based applications, Firewalls, and connectivity solutions.
  • Microsoft certified professional or similar IT qualification is desirable.
  • Previous experience working in a 1st or 2nd line support within a MSP environment would be a distinct advantage.
  • Full UK driving licence as travel to client sites may be required.
