Theatre Scrub Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Theatre Scrub Practitioner to join our team at County Durham & Darlington NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our perioperative team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the operating theatre environment.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in the monitoring of standards of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
- Provide expert knowledge of all clinical specialties and act as a role model for junior staff.
- Participate in audit and monitoring accurate documentation in accordance with Trust policy, NMC, and HPC guidelines.
- Ensure the safe administration of drugs in accordance with Trust Policy, and NMC and HPC guidelines.
- Ensure that all procedures and techniques are carried out in accordance with local competencies and agreed policies and standards.
- Act as patients' advocate in all matters relating to their care, treatment, and welfare.
- Contribute to the maintenance of a clean and safe operating theatre environment.

Person Specification- Registered Nurse/Operating Department Practitioner with scrub experience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals.
- Knowledge of Trust policies and procedures, including those related to patient safety and confidentiality.
- Ability to work flexibly and respond to changing priorities.
