About the Role

The Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly organized and efficient Administrative Assistant to join our team in Community Services Bury. As an Administrative Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our Single Point of Access by providing reception and administrative services.

Key responsibilities include processing referrals, inputting data onto SystmOne, taking telephone queries from healthcare professionals and service users, booking appointments, cancelling clinics, scanning, and other general office duties. The successful candidate will also provide comprehensive and confidential overall office administration, including working collaboratively with other administrative colleagues and support staff.

Working Arrangements

The position requires flexible working hours, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays. You will work a 37-hour week, with opportunities for overtime as needed. A salary of £23,665 per annum is offered, plus benefits.

Requirements

  • A minimum of GCSE/O Level or equivalent in English and Maths
  • Word processing/typing certificate to RSA level II
  • ECDL or equivalent
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer literate/keyboarding skills
  • Confident, pleasant, and sympathetic approach when dealing with staff or the general public
  • Good organization skills
