SEN Educational Support Worker

We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team in Basingstoke, supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in Primary and Secondary settings.
Key Responsibilities- Support students with academic tasks and encourage them to reach their potential in a professional and caring manner.
- Adapt materials and activities to suit individual needs.
- Maintain flexibility and the ability to adapt to quick-changing situations.
- Effectively communicate with pupils who have varied needs.
- Keep relevant records and write reports when required.
- Ensure the highest level of safety and safeguarding at all times.
- Relevant experience working with children or adults who have SEN.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- A strong understanding of SEN and/or SEMH, and how varied these needs can be.
- An ability to remain calm under pressure and effectively handle crisis situations.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying informed about best practices in mental health support for students.

The salary for this position is approximately £25-30 per hour, inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. Please note that this is a temporary position, but the option to make it permanent may become available at a later date.
