About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Warehouse Manager to lead our Business Intelligence team in delivering high-quality data solutions to support our business operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the data warehouse team, developing and implementing best practices in database management, and ensuring the efficient operation of our strategic information services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team and Task Management
    • Lead the data warehouse team, managing workload and expectations to the business.
    • Develop and manage team objectives and plans in line with the Business Intelligence roadmap.
    • Represent and promote the interests of the data warehouse team across the business.
  • Database Management and Development
    • Develop and apply best practices in database management, development, and architecture.
    • Lead and manage team to operate in and across specialist functions such as Data Engineering.
    • Work with the team to deliver best practice database design to meet business requirements.
  • Integration and Reporting
    • Manage and assist in the integration of new data sources into the data warehouse.
    • Drive the data warehouse team to deliver solutions that fulfill business information needs and align with the data strategy and vision.
  • Cost Optimization and Governance
    • Monitor Azure costs and proactively look for ways to optimize the data warehouse to reduce spend.
    • Implement and maintain access to the data warehouse and databases using Role-Based Access Controls (RBAC) principles.
Requirements
  • Team Leadership and Development
    • Team leadership experience is essential for this role.
  • Technical Skills
    • MSSQL/MS SQL Azure.
    • Database developer.
    • Database architecture and design, including pros and cons of relevant schemas/structure.
    • All aspects of the MSSQL stack: SSIS, SSRS, SSMS, etc.
    • Database installation, configuration, maintenance, monitoring, backups, and recoveries.
