Data Warehouse Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Data Warehouse Manager to lead our Data Warehouse team in the production of BAU data loads, storage, DR, reporting, and outbound data.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and support the Data Warehouse team in the production of BAU data loads, storage, DR, reporting, and outbound data.
  • Develop and apply best practices in database management, development, architecture, future design considerations, performance improvements, and monitoring.
  • Work closely with teams across the company and its third-party suppliers to ensure the efficient operation of strategic information services and the delivery of the overall BI Team roadmap and project developments.
  • Manage workload and expectations to the business, working with the team to build objectives and plan in line with the BI roadmap.
  • Represent and promote the interests of the data warehouse team across the business through appropriate meetings around BAU and projects.
Requirements:
  • Experience in managing and leading data warehouse teams.
  • Strong knowledge of database management, development, architecture, and performance improvements.
  • Ability to work closely with teams across the company and its third-party suppliers.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Technical Skills:
  • MSSQL/MS SQL Azure.
  • Database architecture and design.
  • SSIS, SSRS, SSMS.
  • Database installation, configuration, maintenance, monitoring, backups, and recoveries.
  • SQL Profiler.
Desirable Skills:
  • Project Manager experience.
  • Scripting languages - PowerShell, JavaScript, jQuery, VBScript, BatchScript.
  • Azure DevOps.
