Key Responsibilities- Assist healthcare professionals in the delivery of patient care and support services.
- Conduct routine clinical tasks, such as taking blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rate, as well as performing ECGs and blood glucose monitoring.
- Prepare and maintain patient records, including updating medical histories and administering medications.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and their families, promoting a positive and compassionate care environment.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring patient-centered care and optimal outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of best practices and policies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient interactions, including medication administration, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, processing medical records, and maintaining inventory of medical supplies.
- GCSEs or equivalent in English and mathematics.
- Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in a GP practice or similar environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required.
