Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Research Nurse to join our team at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality research services, working predominantly on cardiac device studies.

Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality research services, including patient recruitment, data collection, and study management.
  • Work closely with the research team to ensure the successful delivery of research studies.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with healthcare professionals, patients, and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of research protocols and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including ICH GCP.
Requirements
  • NMC Registration.
  • Post-registration experience in a relevant specialty.
  • Knowledge of the principles and practice of clinical research and/or clinical trials.
  • Understanding of the role and responsibilities of a Clinical Research Nurse.
  • Knowledge of ethical and quality standards applicable to clinical trials, including EU Directive on ICH GCP requirements.
Desirable Qualifications
  • University degree in a healthcare-related field.
  • Experience in cardiovascular and respiratory research.
  • Knowledge of the Health Service, R&D, the pharmaceutical industry partnership, and relevant information sciences.
Skills and Abilities
  • Phlebotomy and basic life support skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize workload.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and cope in a highly demanding environment.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a high standard of accuracy.
