Job Title: Diagnostic Technician

Job Summary:

Filtronic is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Technician to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for diagnosing failure modes, identifying and communicating rework actions, and implementing corrective actions to improve product yield.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify faults in products and recommend corrective actions to improve yield.
  • Work closely with production, product, and process engineering departments to ensure smooth production and new product introduction.
  • Collaborate with data gathering and reporting teams to identify process improvements and cost reductions.
  • Review and update production documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist production in product testing to achieve daily targets.
  • Liaise with production, product, and process engineering departments to carry out failure mode and effects analysis.
  • Ensure products meet required build standards and initiate improvements to the build process.
  • Responsible for ensuring all gold standards are fit for purpose.
  • Responsible for investigating RMA's, completing rework actions, and meeting customer delivery dates.
  • Responsible for customer-specific batching requirements.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in RF/Microwave Test in a production or development environment.
  • Knowledge and practical experience in using VNA, RF Synthesiser, Power Meter, Spectrum Analyser, and DC Power Supplies.
  • Experience in using Word, Excel, and other software packages.
  • Good communication skills and ability to interface with various work groups.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with a reasonable amount of independence.

Additional Requirements:

UK Security clearance is required for this role.
