About the Role

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team at Babcock International. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for producing high-quality machined parts using Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines or manual/conventional machines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC machines to produce machined parts to close and exacting tolerances and finishing specifications.
  • Translate detailed part drawings into measurements for production.
  • Perform set-up and calibration procedures for all equipment and accessories to be used on projects.
  • Ensure that all machining procedures are completed in accordance with project specifications.
  • Follow all company safety protocols and perform appropriate duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Time served apprenticeship experience in machining.
  • CNC programming/manual turning & milling experience.
  • Enthusiastic, positive attitude, good time keeping and attendance, self-motivated, ability to work safely.
  • Physically capable to perform duties.
  • Committed to Quality & Communication.
Qualifications
  • City and Guilds in Engineering/NC in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Security Clearance: The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS)/Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
