Role Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced researcher to join our team as a Research Assistant/Associate. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, designing and developing functional printed electronic microactuators, equipment, and methods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the work of Professor Sohini Kar-Narayan in the Device Materials Group
  • Design and develop functional printed electronic microactuators, equipment, and methods
  • Developing and characterizing functional nanomaterial-based inks
  • Electrical characterization of functional devices
  • Design and modification of experimental setups as required
  • Running of a number of pieces of equipment in the labs
  • Assisting with general laboratory management and maintenance

Requirements

To be successful in this role, applicants should hold a PhD degree in an appropriate field such as Materials Science or be close to thesis submission. Proficiency in the use of aerosol-jet printer, 3D SLA printers, electrical probe station, and scanning electron microscopy is essential.
