About the Role
High Street Surgery is seeking a skilled Maintenance Operative to provide a safe and healthy environment for our patients and staff. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining our practice grounds, performing routine maintenance tasks, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine maintenance tasks, including basic joinery, plumbing, painting, and general building work.
- Maintain practice grounds, including litter picking and general tidying.
- Comply with safe working practices and report faulty equipment and potential hazards.
- Check fire alarm points weekly, including fire exits, doors, and emergency lights, and ensure documentation is accurate and up to date.
Person Specification
- Experience in painting and decorating in both indoor and outdoor environments.
- Ability to communicate at all levels and record detailed, accurate maintenance information.
- Skilled at DIY and general maintenance.
- Friendly, conscientious, and an excellent team member with a positive attitude.
Desirable Qualifications
- Level 2 Diploma qualified in Painting & Decorating/Maintenance.
- Level 2 Diploma In Building Maintenance Multi-Trade Repair And Refurbishment Operations - Handyman.
Working Arrangements
You will be required to work on average 8 hours a week, with flexible working days and times. You will also have access to free on-site parking.
