Transport Operations Manager

Our client, a leading UK logistics company, is seeking an experienced Transport Operations Manager to join their dynamic team. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in managing and developing the team to ensure the highest levels of service and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of 6 people, providing guidance and support to ensure they are equipped to meet the demands of the role.
  • Ensure full compliance from all drivers on the use of the driver app, maintaining a high level of OTIF SLA (On time in Full).
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve team performance, identifying opportunities to deliver change initiatives that maximize profits.
  • Liaise and work with the customer liaison and warehouse teams to ensure seamless coordination of deliveries and collections.
  • Oversee the coordination of the fleet, ensuring all deliveries and collections are made timely and cost-effectively.
Requirements:
  • Strong background in team management/leadership, with a proven track record of success.
  • Proven experience in the transport and logistics industry, with a deep understanding of relevant compliance and legislation.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage a varied workload, with strong communication skills - both written and verbal.
What We Offer:
  • Monday - Friday working hours, 7am-4pm/8am-5pm.
  • Salary - £55,000 - £58,000.
  • 25 days holiday.
  • Company pension scheme.
