Job Title: Civil Engineer - Asset Inspection Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our Asset Management team as an Asset Inspection Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting and assessing the condition of our waterway infrastructure, prioritizing repair and renewal works, and supporting the operations team on minor and reactive repairs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct scheduled asset inspections to ensure high-quality results.
  • Investigate and prioritize defects on a risk-based approach.
  • Define and support maintenance, repair, and renewal works for delivery by our teams and contractors.
  • Provide technical advice during project feasibility, design, construction, and commissioning phases.
  • Support internal and external enquiries associated with our assets.

Requirements:

  • Professional qualification in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Knowledge and understanding of historic infrastructure, preferably in a water environment.
  • Experience in assessing infrastructure risk and prioritizing repairs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
