Page Personnel Finance is seeking a skilled Payroll Manager to join their team in Skelmersdale. As a Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely payment of wages to all employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full payroll cycle, ensuring accurate and timely processing of weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly payrolls for all employees.
- Oversee the calculation and processing of statutory deductions, bonuses, commissions, overtime, and other payroll-related adjustments.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant tax and employment laws.
- Implement and optimize payroll software to improve efficiency and accuracy in payroll processes.
- Ensure payroll operations comply with all legal requirements.
- Manage payroll audits and ensure all payroll records are accurately maintained and securely stored.
- Assist in the preparation of payroll budgets and forecasts, providing accurate data and analysis to support financial planning.
- Monitor payroll costs and analyze variances, providing insights and recommendations to management.
- Lead and mentor the payroll team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional development.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems, labor laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Sage, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
