Job Title: Cover Supervisor

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cover Supervisor to join our team of education professionals. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the continuity of learning for students in secondary schools across Tameside, Greater Manchester.

Job Summary:

This is a temporary position, with the possibility of becoming permanent in the future. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing classrooms and supporting students aged 11-16, creating a positive and productive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage classrooms and support students during teacher absences
  • Ensure students stay engaged and continue their learning across various subjects
  • Develop and maintain a positive and productive learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to ensure seamless lesson delivery
  • Support students with challenging behaviors and additional needs
Requirements:
  • Experience working with young people, preferably in an educational setting
  • Ability to engage and motivate students of all abilities
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • Experience with challenging behaviors and additional needs is desirable
  • A Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Education, or equivalent experience is preferred
