We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Bariatric Service at University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will provide expert care and support to patients undergoing bariatric surgery, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care pathways.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive specialist care to patients undergoing bariatric surgery, including assessment, planning, and implementation of care.
- Lead outreach clinics at The Countess of Chester Hospital, working closely with patients and their carers to ensure optimal care.
- Develop and implement education, training, and research initiatives to improve care and outcomes for patients with obesity.
- Collaborate with primary health care teams to ensure coordination and continuity of care.
- Contribute to the development of policies, procedures, and guidelines for bariatric surgery care.
- Current NMC registration as a Nurse Adult.
- Experience in bariatric speciality nursing.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Able to prioritize and use initiative.
