Join Our Team as a Counterweight Coach

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Coach to join our team at Counterweight. As a Coach, you will play a crucial role in delivering our flagship Counterweight Plus programme, which has revolutionised the treatment of type 2 diabetes worldwide.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with individuals who are seeking to make significant changes to their eating and activity behaviours. You will be responsible for delivering the Counterweight Plus programme to individuals either in person or remotely, using the Counterweight App or Workbook.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver evidence-based nutrition and health behaviour change support to assist individuals to make changes to their eating and activity behaviours.
  • Offer a personalised, person-centred service to individuals and adapt the programme delivery to meet their individual needs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records using our secure electronic medical record system.
  • Engage in ongoing training relevant to your role and evidencing professional development.
  • Ensure due consideration and adherence to our internal Counterweight policies and procedures for reporting clinical risk incidents, adverse events.
Requirements
  • Willingness to undertake the Cambridge Diabetes Education Programme or SCOPE obesity training.
  • Previous experience in delivering a Type 2 Diabetes Remission programme, or working with people living with diabetes, overweight or obesity.
  • Desirable: Fluency in Polish, Urdu or Punjabi.
