Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at PRS. As a Shift Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our luxury London apartments.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor and maintain compliance with statutory requirements for the building, ensuring certificates are up to date and filed in the designated Building Logbooks.
  2. Take ownership of the effective repair of defects and the safe operation of the building, plant, and equipment.
  3. Provide exceptional customer service to residents and colleagues.
  4. Utilize Building Link to efficiently manage reactive help desk requests and provide feedback on activities undertaken and their status.
  5. Learn and use the CAFM system to receive task sheets and work requests, completing tasks efficiently in accordance with agreed specifications and within designated service level agreements.
  6. Provide feedback to the TSM on various software platforms, suggesting improvements related to H&S, plant and equipment status, incomplete asset information, maintenance tasks, and energy efficiency initiatives.
  7. Maintain and operate building plant and systems, including boilers, pumps, chillers, air handling units, fans, electrical distribution, pipework, ductwork, and garage plant, within established guidelines.
  8. Interrogate the Building Management System (BMS) for alarm conditions, incorrect operation, time scheduling, set points, etc., and respond accordingly.
  9. Carry required communication equipment, respond promptly to requests, and report back with the status of repairs.
  10. Follow designated procedures if a fire alarm is raised, ensuring the sprinkler system and emergency generator operate as required. Isolate systems as directed by the duty manager or London Fire Brigade.

Requirements:

  1. 5+ years of experience as an Engineer with a suitable electrical or mechanical qualification.
  2. Experience in a 5* ultra-luxury environment is desirable.
  3. Attention to detail.
  4. Ability to maintain and repair a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and/or plumbing systems.
