Project Accountant

An award-winning manufacturing business is seeking a highly skilled Project Accountant to join their team. As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for managing and controlling costs and budgets for individual projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Management and control over costs, expenses, and cash flow of individual projects
- Preparation of monthly management accounts, including detailed analysis of margins by project
- Monthly and annual reporting of project finances across individual lifespans to key stakeholders
- Ensuring robust internal procedures and controls are in place to maintain reliable and accurate cost and inventory data
- Month-end reconciliations and general ledger entries
- Liaising with auditors as required and assistance in the preparation of the annual financial statements
- Management of corporate tax (UK and USA)
- Regular tax filings such as the quarterly VAT return and P11d preparation
- Foreign currency dealing, administration, and accounting
Requirements:
- Qualified: ACCA/CIMA or equivalent (at least 3 years post-qualification experience)
- Manufacturing industry experience: Familiarity with costing concepts and Bill of Material structures
- Project Accounting experience
- Project Management: Experience as a project manager or working closely with project managers
- Strong IT skills with excellent knowledge of Excel
- Self-motivated with an inquiring mind and desire for excellence
