Aberdeen, Aberdeen City, United Kingdom NHS Scotland Full time

NHS Scotland is committed to fostering an inclusive work environment where every employee feels valued and empowered to contribute their best. As part of our dedication to equality and diversity, we actively encourage applications from all backgrounds.

We are seeking experienced nurses who wish to return to practice after a career break. Our collaborative model with Glasgow Caledonia University (GCU) offers a unique opportunity for you to rejoin the NMC register and resume your nursing career in a safe and confident manner.

Through our joint initiative, you will participate in a 7-week online theory block, which will be supported by peer discussions and online sessions. Following this, you will embark on a clinical placement in a relevant area of your field of practice, depending on available positions within NHS Grampian. This flexible approach allows you to complete practice hours either full-time or part-time, with comprehensive support from both GCU and NHS Grampian.

During your training, you will receive remuneration at Band 2, ensuring financial stability throughout your theoretical and practical studies. Upon successful completion of the course and re-registration with the NMC, you will transition to Band 4. Furthermore, upon successful completion of the course and re-joining the NMC register, employment in a Band 5 role with NHS Grampian is guaranteed.

We recognize the importance of providing excellent compensation for our employees. Based on the average salary range for similar roles in NHS Scotland, we estimate that this position will offer a salary between £25,000 and £35,000 per annum, dependent on experience and qualifications.

NHS Grampian serves a population of over 500,000 people, and as a regional health board, we strive to create a positive culture that supports our NHS and Social Care values. Our goal is to ensure a nurturing work environment that enables our employees to thrive and deliver exceptional care.
