Backend Developer Lead: Carbon Data Expert

Sylvera Limited is seeking a highly skilled Backend Developer Lead to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for driving the strategy for improving our current systems and executing our vision for the future.
Key Responsibilities- Technical Leadership: Lead other engineers to help them understand issues and pain points for customers and engineers and how to best address them going forward.
- Mentorship: Mentor more junior team members and implement best practices.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and how best to build solutions accordingly.
- Infrastructure Development: Build underlying infrastructure to ensure all data created goes into our data platform so that it can be shown to customers within our app.
- Technical Expertise: Has demonstrable experience in building backend systems, is excited about improving systems and creating great developer and user experiences.
- Climate Passion: Cares deeply about the climate and ecosystems of the earth.
- Leadership Skills: Wants to work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and balance this with engineering best practices.
- Communication Skills: Loves to learn and bring that knowledge to other team members, through mentorship or leadership.
- Self-Starters: Is a self-starter who thrives in constantly evolving environments, ideally with early-stage experience.
- Programming Skills: Has a background in PHP, and also Python OR Typescript.
