Dearne Valley is a picturesque region on the edge of the Pennines, boasting breathtaking views of the countryside and charming stone-built villages. Its flat landscape makes it an ideal location for exploring on foot or by bike, with an abundance of wildlife and stunning Nature reserves, including Blacker Wood, Cliffe Wood, Wither Wood, and Lower Hartley Bank Wood.

Our Dearne Valley 24-Hour Hospital is a state-of-the-art facility, equipped with the latest digital x-ray, ultrasound, and full-body CT scanner, as well as an in-house laboratory. The practice features three large consulting rooms, two theatres, a spacious prep area, internal lab facilities, and ample learning and office spaces.

You will play a pivotal role in leading the veterinary team and ensuring exceptional medical care for our patients. Your leadership skills, clinical expertise, and passion for animal welfare, combined with our regional teams' and support centre's support, will significantly contribute to the practice's continued success and growth.

We offer a full-time working pattern of four weekdays per week and a one-in-six weekend rota. A relocation package is available for those relocating from outside the UK or more than 60 miles from their current UK address.

Requirements
  • RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon
  • CertAVP in Surgery
  • Ability to perform TPLO/TTAs or equivalent, spinals, fracture repair, and complex soft tissue procedures
  • Experience of supporting nurse consults and schedule 3 procedures, with an understanding of how this contributes to clinic performance and efficiency
  • Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague
