A leading Education sector company seeks a skilled Group Technical Reporting Manager to join their team in Central London. The role is a 12-month fixed-term contract with a hybrid (3/2) working pattern.

The successful candidate will provide technical accounting expertise and knowledge with respect to IFRS, responsible for setting accounting policies in conjunction with the Group Financial Controller and maintaining oversight over the adoption and compliance with those policies.

This position involves active oversight and assistance with regions regarding technical financial reporting matters, incorporating responsibility over accounting policy, assessment of M&A opportunities, and integration of global accounting policy adoption for new rules and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stay up-to-date on IFRS developments.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of significant and unusual transactions.
  • Develop and deliver IFRS training programs.
  • Collaborate with the Group Financial Controller and Group Accounting Manager to resolve complex accounting policy issues.
  • Communicate key issues and decisions with the Group Financial Controller and CFO through regular meetings and updates.
  • Regularly discuss IFRS developments with stakeholders.
  • Review the accounting of significant or unusual transactions as needed.
  • Provide IFRS training on emerging topics, such as revenue recognition.
  • Seek external auditor assistance when necessary and share significant contract accounting documents.

Salary Range: £85,000 - £110,000 per year, commensurate with experience. A reputable Education sector company offers attractive remuneration and benefits packages.
