About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Expert to join our team at Aeropeople Limited.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering next-generation technology solutions and developing junior systems engineering talent.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Create innovative solutions to evolving technological and operational challenges for complex Multi-Function Radar systems.
  • Provide technical solutions and address engineering problems using a wide range of expertise in systems engineering concepts and methods.
  • Manage trade-offs of system parameters to characterise and specify robust design.
  • Discern and decompose requirements to system and sub-system level and manage these in an approved toolset such as IBM DOORS Next.
  • Conduct system development and implementation activities, with internal & customer stakeholder engagement, and mentoring of junior engineering peers.
  • Work together with specialists in diverse engineering fields, such as software, mechanical, electrical, and electronics, to realise comprehensive system design solutions.
  • Plan and undertake system integration and testing.
  • Contribute to definition and articulation of system acceptance strategies demonstrating system performance across a wide range of operational scenarios underpinned through production of customer acceptance evidence.

Requirements:

  • Understanding of at least one of the following subject areas: signal processing, target track extraction, object classification algorithms, system and sensor resource optimisation.
  • An appreciation of factors that can affect the real-world performance of sensing systems and how these can impact the accuracy and timeliness of measurements to meet challenging design objectives and requirements.
  • Demonstrates understanding and experience of Systems Engineering which could include knowledge of Systems Engineering standards (e.g., ISO 15288).
  • Higher education (or equivalent experience) in a relevant STEM discipline.

Salary: £62,000 per annum dependent upon experience.
