Heavy Haulage Operations Specialist

As a Heavy Haulage Operations Specialist at Aspion, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of heavy goods across the country.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan heavy haulage operations manually, taking into account all logistical details to ensure smooth transportation.
- Act as a communication link between customers and drivers, providing timely updates on schedules and routes.
- Supervise and manage driver workloads to optimize productivity and reduce fatigue.
With a strong focus on customer satisfaction, you will be responsible for coordinating with councils, police, and drivers to organize special orders requiring police escorts. Your ability to plan operations up to 2 weeks in advance, ensuring the availability of police escorts and other required resources, is essential for the success of our team.

The ideal candidate will have a dynamic approach to solving resource and planning resolution/modifications, be ICT literate, and possess a basic understanding of Large Goods Vehicles (weights, dimensions, and terminology). A good geographic knowledge and proficiency in the use of tachographs and TMS (Transport Management Systems) are also essential.
In this role, you will be working closely with our team of experts to ensure that our heavy haulage operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for pre-briefing and de-briefing drivers on their daily runs throughout the day, managing high-value and complex heavy haulage projects, and keeping up-to-date with transport issues and dealing with changes to the day's schedules.
