Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at SitePoint Pty.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, deploying and managing hybrid infrastructure. They will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving complex issues related to system performance and stability, as well as collaborating with internal teams to design and implement cloud-native architectures, microservices and serverless applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and Deployment of Hybrid Infrastructure: The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, deploying and managing hybrid infrastructure that meets the needs of our business.
  2. Troubleshooting and Resolution of Complex Issues: They will be expected to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to system performance and stability through root cause analysis and other analytical techniques.
  3. Cloud-Native Architecture and Microservices: The candidate will collaborate with internal teams to design and implement cloud-native architectures, microservices and serverless applications, leveraging containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  4. System Security: They will be responsible for ensuring system security is maintained and continuously improved.
Requirements:
  1. In-Depth Knowledge of Linux-Based Operating Systems: A solid understanding of Linux-based operating systems is essential for this role.
  2. Systems Engineering Experience: The candidate should have experience in Systems Engineering or a similar position (SRE, DevOps, etc.).
  3. Mission-Critical Infrastructure Management: They should have experience designing, building and managing mission-critical infrastructure.
  4. IaC Tools Experience: Familiarity with IaC tools such as Chef, Terraform, Puppet or Ansible is required.
  5. Containerization Experience: Experience in containerization, preferably with Kubernetes, is highly desirable.
  6. Automation Frameworks Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of automation frameworks, including automated testing, orchestration workflows, schema modification and Infrastructure-as-a-code principles, is necessary.
  7. Network Technologies Knowledge: A good understanding of network technologies, including routers, switches, load balancers, firewalls, network and routing protocols, VPN and SDWAN, is essential.

Compensation:

We offer an estimated salary of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, based on industry standards and location.
