ICT Systems and Network Manager

VanRath is seeking an experienced ICT Systems and Network Manager to join our team in Belfast. As a key member of our IT operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of cloud technologies, ensuring their availability, reliability, scalability, security, and license compliance.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure that IT service processes are well defined, implemented, and operated across the organization.
- Ensure all database servers are backed up in a manner that meets the RPO and RTO defined in customer SLAs.
- Troubleshoot database service outages as needed, including after-hours and weekends.
- Undertake capacity reviews of managed databases on a regular basis.
- Document database environments to a quality standard.
- Ensure that all operational delivery services and developments provided are planned and delivered in accordance with agreed support processes, SLAs, and quality standards (ITIL, ISO 9001, and ISO 27001).
- Ensure that all operational delivery services provided by suppliers are planned and delivered in accordance with agreed quality processes, SLAs, and quality standards as appropriate.
- IT degree plus a minimum of 3 years in a technical management role within a large organization or have worked for a minimum of 5 years in a technical management role.
- Recent experience/knowledge of working with infrastructure/cloud technologies and licensing, such as Windows/Linux/Unix operating systems, Microsoft 365 & Azure/AWS/GCloud Technology, Relational Database systems, Virtualisation, High Availability, SAN Storage, Networking, Security, Client devices, Web servers, Integration technologies, Application support, etc.
- Experience of leading or supporting ICT projects with a budget of over £50,000.
- Previous experience utilising a project methodology or contract management (e.g. PRINCE2).
