The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial law, with a minimum of 5 years' experience working in the education sector. As a UK-qualified solicitor, you will be responsible for providing expert advice on a wide range of legal matters, including commercial contracts, employment law, charity law, governance, and student-facing issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic legal advice to the education provider on commercial and operational matters
- Lead the legal services team, fostering a positive work environment and encouraging high performance
- Develop and implement effective legal strategies to mitigate risks and drive business growth
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
Requirements:
- UK-qualified solicitor with a current practising certificate
- At least 5 years' experience working in the education sector
- Strong commercial law expertise, with a focus on contract negotiation and dispute resolution
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
