About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Rigging Artist to join our team at DNEG, a world-leading visual effects and animation company. As a key member of our Creature TD team, you will be responsible for developing high-quality rigs and simulations for creatures, digital doubles, vehicles, and props.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement complex rigs and simulations using Maya and other software tools
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of creature work into the overall production pipeline
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of creature specialization, including rigging, enveloping, cloth, hair, flesh, rigid body destruction, and crowd simulations
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, and adapt to new tools and techniques as needed
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in feature film production, with a strong background in rigging and simulation
  • Excellent knowledge of Maya and other software tools, including Houdini and Python scripting
  • Strong visual and artistic skills, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for creative problem-solving
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
