**Job Overview:**

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to join our team at Financial Staffing Solutions, a fast-growing & profitable recruitment business.

The role involves supervising a small team and reporting to the Financial Controller, making it a key position in the company's success.

As a Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining payroll information, updating records, paying workers, and preparing reports.

  • Maintain payroll information by designing systems; directing the collection, calculation, and entering of data.
  • Update payroll records by reviewing and approving changes in exemptions, deductions, job titles, department transfers, payment types, booking records, pay rates, charge rates, etc.
  • Pay workers by directing the production and issuance of payslips and electronic transfers to bank accounts.
  • Prepare reports including production of KPIs and Management Information.
  • Balance the payroll accounts by resolving payroll discrepancies.
  • Complete weekly and monthly reconciliations of nominal accounts, year-end procedures and analysis of information.
  • Provide payroll information by ensuring that questions and requests are answered in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Liaise with HMRC and other necessary agencies to ensure correct completeness of all statutory returns.
  • Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Ensure weekly, monthly and annual deadlines are met.
  • Provide information requested by Internal and External auditors.
  • Maintain payroll guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures.
  • Comply with legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation.
  • Payroll system improvements as necessary to ensure compliance with new legislation.
  • Maintain payroll staff by recruiting and training employees.
  • Maintain payroll staff job results by counselling and disciplining employees.

Our estimated salary for this position is around £50,000 - £65,000 per annum, based on experience.
