Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at JD Gyms. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our gyms, maintaining high standards of maintenance and repair.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out general repairs and maintenance across all JD Gyms locations, ensuring high-quality workmanship and compliance.
  • Deliver planned preventative maintenance on site, including proactive and reactive work.
  • Perform minor plumbing tasks, including replacing taps, unblocking sinks and drains, and other related duties.
  • Deal with repairs as instructed by the facilities department.
  • Conduct minor electrical repairs and fixings.
  • Carry out general redecorating works.
  • Identify and rectify potential hazards in internal and external areas of the gyms.

Requirements

  • Be multi-skilled in plumbing (copper and PVC), carpentry, and minor electrical works.
  • Be competent in basic building repairs and maintenance.
  • Have knowledge of ventilation systems.
  • Be proficient in redecoration and refurbishment works.
  • Be able to complete small plastering and wall damage works.
  • Be able to use small industrial/electrical/mechanical equipment.
  • Have knowledge of health and safety procedures and precautions.
  • Demonstrate literacy, numeracy, and IT skills sufficient to use our maintenance reporting system.
  • Be physically fit, with the ability to lift, bend, stretch, and work at heights.
  • Hold a clean driving license.
