Maintenance Technician

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Handyman to join our team at The Wherry Hotel in Lowestoft. As a Handyman, you will be responsible for conducting general venue maintenance and managing associated contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct general venue maintenance and manage associated contracts
- Basic knowledge of plumbing / carpentry
- Wall tiling and painting & decorating skills
- Happy to work on your own initiative
- Communicate effectively with both the public and work colleagues
- Be fully familiar with all Health and Safety instructions relevant to your area of work.
- Adhere to all current legislation pertaining to fire, health and safety regarding the work place
- Maintaining health and safety standards in line with all venue risk assessments and handyman operational exemptions
- Manage grounds and gardens, or the relationship with those contractors
- An organised record keeping, confident in the use of software such as trail to record and update the status of tasks.
