About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team at Octopus Energy. As a key member of our operations function, you will be responsible for the smooth running of our field support team, managing performance, and tackling exciting new projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a group of team managers who oversee a large team of field support specialists working alongside field engineers to install low-carbon technology across the UK.
  • Oversee the day-to-day running of the operations function, including team management, operational reporting, managing third-party relationships, and ensuring industry compliance.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and report back to the Operations Director.
  • Lead internal and external meetings with senior stakeholders.
  • Support the growth and development of our team, including recruitment and employee communication.
  • Provide operational expertise and support to the teams.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in managing teams and delivering programs of work.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to think creatively and logically to react to changes in strategy.
  • Experience in the energy industry is desirable but not essential.
  • Adaptability and agility to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
