Asset Management and Licensing Specialist

At the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, we are seeking an experienced Asset Management and Licensing Manager to join our IT department. This is a vital role that ensures licensing and asset management processes and records are consistent and accurate, supporting our security, compliance, and effective management of expensive hardware and software.
You will work closely with colleagues to provide appropriate reporting and intelligence on assets to the Oversight & Governance function and the Data, Digital & Technology (DD&T) team. Your responsibilities will include owning the asset management process, maintaining accurate registers and databases, and managing the cost implications of asset disposal.
As a subject matter expert for business processes that interact with software license management, you will have a good understanding of vendor relationships and software, hardware licence management. Familiarity with systems such as the Microsoft System Centre Configuration Manager (or equivalent), IT Service Management Software and Asset Management systems is also required.
