Asset Management and Licensing Specialist

This is a critical position within our IT department, responsible for ensuring the accuracy and consistency of licensing and asset management processes and records. The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues to provide reporting and intelligence on assets to the Oversight & Governance function and the Data, Digital & Technology (DD&T) team.
Key Responsibilities- Owning the asset management process and ensuring our teams maintain accurate registers and databases.
- Maintaining information about hardware and software required to deliver a professional DD&T service.
- Managing the cost implications of asset disposal, ensuring compliance relating to software purchase and license removal.
- Acting as the subject matter expert for business processes interacting with software license management.
- Proven experience in software vendor licensing and optimization.
- Good understanding of vendor relationships and software, hardware license management.
- Familiarity with systems such as Microsoft System Centre Configuration Manager, IT Service Management Software, and Asset Management systems.
- Knowledge of ITIL service management processes.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft's suite of software, with a focus on Excel.
